My parents just bought a Samsung 46" DLP (HL-R4667W). Since we are still using our VCR and DVD. I was wondering if we need to buy new audio/video/s-video wires? Or can I still use the old ones we have. It's kind of embarrassing to say, but I think our wires are around 7+ years old. Would the new wires now a days be a huge improvement in improving audio/video quality?

If I should buy new wires, what brand/type should I get?

You should always use the best connection you can, so if you can hook up your dvd via component, and your vcr with a s-vid. Anything will be an improvement over a coax connection.
