hello

can anyone help. i have a hitachi c2143s television brand new. i plug the tv in and the stand by button is constantly on red and won't shift no matter what i do. i have tried the remote and nothing and also tried the front panel programme upa nd down and still nothing.
there is power going to tv but just won't change from red stand by.
please help its driving me nuts.
