I am about to buy my first DVD recorder and I would need your inputs to take a final decision.
After having reviewed a lot of your posts I am between the Panasonic DMR-E85GCS and the Pioneer DVR-530H, both of them in PAL/NTSC version, multiregion (code free) and dual-voltage (110V – 220V)

My preferences would be classed in the following order:

1) High quality product –> Low probability to present failures.
2) Recording quality
3) DVD Play back quality
4) Easy to use
5) Possibility to record from Digital camcorder (DV). I heard that recording in Panasonic devices through S-video (Digital – Analog – Digital) could sometimes be even better than recording through IEEE (Digital to Digital)
6) Editing features

Thanks in advance for your feedback/advice
