This problem sound familiar to anyone? My 30" toshiba's picture is shrinking horizontally and is now almost only 4" high. Also, the bottom 1" is inverted. Is it a simple capacitor replacement or is the set shot and not worth fixing? In other words, would the repair cost be as much as a new tv? Any help would be great! |

Sounds like something in the power supply/regulator circuit. Unless you have test equipment or can see a leaking capacitor, I don't know if you could fix it. |

No, I don't plan to fix myself, I was going to have to bring it to a repair shop. Just wondering if these possible ailments are worth my time and effore to fix or just buy a new approx $200 set? Thanks for the info |

Depends on how good the Toshiba is. For $200 all you can get is a piece of crap. |
