I recently purchased cable TV which uses the RCA jacks, I have connected the Cable TV directly to my VCR using the RCA jacks but now I need to have my VCR turned on in order to watch Cable on my TV (VCR channel needs to be turned to AU)which I would rather avoid.

I tried connecting the Cable TV directly to my TV using one of the "IN" RCA jacks on my TV which is no problem, however, how can I connect my VCR to record Cable TV programs via my TV set (what channel would I set my VCR to or is it not possible to record off a TV A/V channel?)

Appreciate any advise..............thx in advance

in other words, with Cable TV connected directly to TV (to avoid turning on VCR to watch Cable TV), is there a way to set up VCR to record Cable TV from the TV a/v channel.
