It is frustrating to have a new HD TV and not get to see ANY HD TV! I had planned to buy the DirecTV HD equipment and package (I get NO offair broadcasts where I live). Now I find that the current DirecTV recievers will be obsolete in the near futire, but nobody seems to know when exactly. I also cannot get a firm answer from DirecTV on the upgrade path if you end up stuck with the current reciever when the new MPEG4 goes online.
Does anyone have any useful, current, or specific information on this problem?
