Hi all. I just bought a slightly used JVC RX-888VBK receiver. Overall I'm very impressed and for the most part it works well.
The only problem is that I get no picture from DVD or VCR to TV. I connected everything per the diagrams (all composite cables) and am using the monitor out cable. The only places I have to connect this cable are Video 1 or Video 2. No picture shows up using either one.
Is it possible the Monitor Out is broken on this unit? Or am I missing something? |

Are you selecting whatever input you want to watch on the receiver? |

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm selecting the media source on the receiver if that's what you're referring to. Audio from all sources works great; just no video from either VHS or DVD via Monitor out to TV. However, if I run video out from DVD to the TV, bypassing the receiver, I get a perfect picture. |

I have the same problem. The system worked fine until we found the lost remote. Worked grate able to zoom in and therefore have full picture with dvd. But somehow we can hear sound perfectly and it plays but no picture.
Input tried all three, Chanel 3, 4, 5, 6. Still no picture |
