Thread: Center channel speaker -- where to put it? |

I am thinking of buying a new TV, but wonder where I will put my center channel speaker. Right now most probably put them on top of the TV, but the new ones are too slim. There probably isn't room underneath. What is everyone doing with them? Thanks. |

I know a few people who use velcro to attach their center channel speakers to the top of their slim DLP or LCD Tv's. It works real well if you're OK with putting velcro on your 3000 tv. |

Buy The Samsung HLP4674 DLP set and there is a shelf at the top center specifically for a CC speaker. I suspect that the other XX74s have them as well. The 77s may not. |

I built a shelf on the wall behind and just above the TV for my center speaker and it sounds great. I have it angled down so that it is aimed at the listening area. My center speaker is fairly big and weighs 38 lbs. so it was really my only option. |

I have one of these almost exactly the same as the above items that I bought from a seller on eBay about/over a yewar ago and it works great, I have a dual deck vcr and my center speaker on it.

I use a modded version of the Omnimount CCHI (http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=omnimount+cch1) which works well on my Samsung HLP-5085W. The mod was to use a couple of steel rods in place of the short ones on the original design. |
