I'm going to be recording some TV shows so I'd like to fit alot on one disc. But I don't want the picture quality to be inferior to SP, so I'm kinda hesistant to record in LP mode. Can anyone give me some input in terms of LP vs SP & what the difference in picture quality is? Thanx |

Stick with SP, LP blows, discs are far too cheap to sacrifice all that quality. |

You've got a point David, but I've been getting the Sony discs which are a bit more expensive than some of the others. I'll take your advice though & stick with SP mode. |

Don't pay more for the Sony name, they don't make their own discs anyway. You can get Taiyo Yuden discs from Meritline for $25/100 plus shipping, excellent discs. The only drawback is they are shrink wrapped, so you need spindles to store them on. |

Thanks alot for that info on Meritline.com. I had been looking for a place that sold the Yuden discs, but couldn't find one. Thanx again |
