I am leaning toward this model- Samsung HL-R4667W. Any advice or insight? Is this model a good choice? How much are replacement bulbs for this model? Can I replace them myself? My first thought on extended warranty is this- If I am going to spend $499 for a 3 year extended warranty (Circuit City) which includes bulb replacements- would I do as well to pay to fix it after the first year Samsung warranty ends? Or is the extended warranty really a must? Thanks for any info on these things! R |

I'm really liking my recently acquired R5067. I saw the R4667 at BB and that's what inspired me to part with my P5063 for an R5067. The higher contrast is really apparent. I think the 46 is a good choice if that's the size you want. All Phillips lamps cost the same. $199 All Samsungs have owner replaceable lamps. That's a high price for a 3 year, even with lamps. Why CC? Financing it? Don't get ripped off. http://www.digital1234.com/product.jsp?x=HLR4667W Notice the "Mack" 3 year extended manufactureres warranty for $179. I believe in extended warranties for expensive new technology. Here are some other online prices. http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?sort_type=price&masterid=7785916& isbn=&pid=

It's a great set, I have the 50 inch model and it is gorgeous! I'd take a look at Best Buy if you have one nearby, they price match any Circuit City ad or regular price AND their Service plan is 100 bucks less for a full FOUR years. Plus their employees don't smoke crack, BONUS! ;) HS |
