A few days ago we purchased a Goodmans DVD Recorder from Tescos. We have made some excellent quality recordings using Phillips DVD+RW disks and also TDK DVD+R, but for some strange reason they won't play on my parents Toshiba DVD Player. The DVD+R won't play on my PC either. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we might be doing wrong. I should mention that the DVD+R disk was finalised and with the DVD+RW disk I chose the "make compatible" which (I think is supposed to finalise the disk). As you can tell I'm a complete novice with DVD Recorders and I'm beginning to think I may have wasted my money as the whole point of buying the thing was so that I could share some of the recordings I made with my Mum! Any advice would be most gratefully received. Many thanks.

Get a DVD-R recorder, -R has better compatibility.
