Hey guys,

I just found these forums and have spent the last hour or so browsing through the threads. Great info!

I just got married this weekend and am looking to purchase a new TV for our place. I have been looking around at a couple stores up here in Vancouver, Canada and am currently looking at the Toshiba 62HM84 (2999.99 w/o stand, 3499.99 w/ stand) and the Samsung HLP5663W (3499.99 w/ stand).

What do you guys think? Any suggestions/advice for a newbie TV consumer?

If it matters, I use the TV primarily to watch sports, movies, and to play xbox. I have a good sound system so I will not be using the speakers that come with the Toshiba.
