I have this set which arked pretty loud one night as I was on my pc. Note, there was a thunderstorm that night. Anyhow, it made about three popping noises within half an hour and then it shut itself down. I have a little bit of technical know how and was able to find that the Horizontal Deflection transistor (Q802) and a resistor near by (R806)went. I replaced both of them and the picture came up, however, after a few hours the same thing happened all over again. I have checked the power suppy nothing seems to be wrong and I have a feeling it's coming from somewhere else. Any takes? Thanks in advance!!

Also, the resistor is 100 ohm 1/2 watt and it's the one that heats up when the tv is on.

Softy.
