I have Charter cable, with a Charter DVR (Motorola BMC9012). I want to be able to burn things I've recorded to a DVD.

I purchased a Magnavox MRV640, but when I hooked it up it never got the feed from the DVR. I tried using both the component and composite inputs on the MRV640 (from the cable box), but it never got the feed from the cable box. I was able to record the basic cable channels by splitting the coax before the cable box, and to record from a VCR using composite, but that's not what I need.

So, has anyone with been able to hook up a DVD recorder to a Charter DVR and record from it? If so, could you please let me know what model DVR you purchased and how you hooked it up?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shannon
