On this new unit, both video and audio shut down after perhaps 5 minutes; LED error code says "lamp unit door not seated properly;" I've gone through Toshiba's suggested solution several times with no improvement. Before I arm-wrestle with the Service Center, anybody got any ideas or help?

I had been through that once on my 52HM84 as well. The second one that was brought in didn't have sound. the third one seems o.k but I have a sinking feeling that it does not have the 2-chip system.

Steve, Tell them that you want another one. I used to take the door of and press on the switch on the inside. I even pulled the bulb and put it back in. It would waork for about a day and then...same thing. If it's new tell them you want a ntoerh brand new one and you won't settle for anything less.
