I have a Panasonic rear projection HDTV monitor model PT-47X54. I noticed a few red dots on the screen and one looked like a smear. I tried the converge feature and it helped with the red smear, but I still see a few red dots. I'm thinking now that it might be a bad screen and will need to have it looked at by a tech. TV is still under warranty. Any thoughts? |

I have the same model which is not even 10 months old and have just discovered the unit has burnt images and are not covered under warranty by Panasonic(Page 1 of your manual). Needless to say I'm an unhappy consumer. The est. on repairing is $1200.00. My next discussion will be with their legal department. |

red dots on an LCD RP indicate a dead pixel. Not sure what they mean on the CRT RPs in the first two posts.. |
