I have a Panasonic CT-32HX42 which is HDTV-ready. RCN is my cable company and they have HDTV.

Do I need to buy a converter or anything to recieve HDTV on my set or will the converter box that the cable company provides be enough?

You need a HD cable settop box from your cable company and subscribe to the HD service. If it does not provide your local network HD, then you would also need a HD tuner and an antenna to get the off-the-air signals.
