Anyone know where I could find a new RCA HD50LPW162 or 163 ? I want to purchase a 50" DLP with the HD2+ chip that will fit into a 47" wide opening.

I believe the RCA HD50LPW162 and 163 are my only options unless I buy a set with the HD3 chip.

My local Best Buy has an open box 162, but they are only offering 10% off the current price of $2499.

If you can find a Best Buy that still has a new 162 then you are very lucky. RCA doesn't make that model anymore. As for the 163 I have no idea what retailer sold that model.

If you can get the open box 162 for 10% off of $2499 then I'd say go for it. If you buy the extended warranty they might move a little more on the price.

I have a 162 model and have been extremely pleased with it so far. Good Luck.
