Assume you have an HD receiver since you mention component cables. How are the HD channels? |

You're ok. Not unusual for digital tvs to reproduce standard signals with less than optimum picture. If you calibrate your tv using Digital Video Essentials or similar program, you will maximize picture. However, do not expect to obtain as good a picture as you would get from decent analog set, even with the "all digital" signal from Directv. I also have HD from Directv and experience picture quality drop off when watching channels other than those broadcasting in HD. However, even Directv's standard fare is better than what I get from Adelphia cable. |

THATS NORMAL, HDTV IS DESIGNED FOR HD SIGNALS. WHICH BROADCAST COMPANY HAVE THE BETER DEAL FOR HDTV? |

Can't say for certain. But many posters think Comcast is very competitive. Unfortunately, it is not available in my area of the country. |

Man ! - Im not cool at this game - BUT Bell is giving me a run around. I have a 2700 RX on which the audio is crappy. I have acquired a 3100 receiver left when a tenant passed on. I want to use my Smart Card (expressvu) in it but Bell will not relent as they say there is money owing on it. SO..I have acquired a SCM scr111 Smart Card reader/programmer with installation disk. NOW...WHERE do I look for software to use the doggoned thing? Any help? email nels_123@hotmail.com or give me a fone number that I can call. Thanx...nels B |
