Are you talking indoor or outdoor? For indoor antennas I hear good things about the Zenith Silver Sensor.

winegard products are highly respected in the
electrical engineering field.I have dealt with
them on a professional level and found them very
pleasant to deal with.

Winegard is coming out with a indoor HD antenna called the SS-3000. Any feedback with this antenna? Does it work as well as a outdoor ss-2000? HELP

Avoid indoor antennas unless you live within 10 miles of the towers on level or elevated ground and un-obstructed.

Don't buy amplified indoor antennas.
If the signal is junk it will amplify junk.

Don't spend more than you have too.
This one works for me. $25

you get what you pay for,if you buy junk you
get junk ,winegard is not junk.

that statement holds true if you shop at places like radioshack.

He's a poet, but doesn't know it!

You can spend more, but the picture won't look any better.

I'll agree that Winegard is good quality, though.

Chinese poet,

Not all RS products are junk. I love my 15-2117 JP1 programmable remote. I paid about $20 for it and I can do just about anything the $200 and higher remotes can do. This is now discontinued but the 15-2116 for about $40 is still available.

I never claimed to know it all.(but certainly
more then you!)

I refuse to debate someone who shops for a/v
equpment at radioshack.. that in itself explains
and displays your intelligence.

Im glad you agree with me on winegard products
that was so noble of you.....

believe me if you shop at radioshack ,this is
the first time you have heard the name "winegard"
IM glad I could teach you something, and I do know
one thing your not to bright .

so you say that the electrical engineering
community is not smart as yourself? ...please..
spare me ,radioshack shopper.your more intelligent then us electrical engineers?!?!?

go back to school get your electrical engineering
degree and 20+ years designing , researching and
developing circuits and cutting edge tech
nology for word renown conpanys like myself
and get back to me.

the radioshack comment really does explain your
intelligence, and the fact that other people on this forum ,know more then you ever will about
electronics should comfort you, maybe your learn
some real information, not just the stuff you read
from books and make up.

"radioshack or zenith for a good antenna,"
that really does explain the extent of your
electrical education.

thanks for the laugh.

Hi poet,

I meant no insult! Just trying to be clever.

I guess you needed to vent. Sure hope you feel better!

I know cheaper isn't better, it's just less money.

Now, you certainly meant to insult me, but I'm not new to your edgy banter. This is DLP4me!/FYI/Curious1/Post Reader/Bustnchops/ whatever.....you know..the ex-TI guy.
What do you expect from a guy that buys cheap Korean crap!
Sorry to raise your blood pressure.

Enough of the arguing. Lets put two heads together and please help with my decision. I am getting ready to buy the winegard ss-2000 and the local HD station are about 18 miles from my house. Will this antenna do the job, since everyone agrees that indoor antennas dont work well. The winegard ss-3000 is supposed to be good though.
