Does Samsung make a receiver compatable with Dish Network that will also get local and Dish Network HD programming? Sorry if I sound stupid, but I am new at this stuff

To answer your question, Samsung doesn't make a receiver compatable with Dish Network. They have a "strategic partnership" with Direct TV.
