There will be a NEW Release for the Pansat 2500 later this week, possibly as early as Monday. The new bin cures the freezing problem and adds a few new features tho EPG isn't one of them. There will be a new section added for TV mode with a warning added in the TV mode section (to try and prevent people from changing to PAL) The freezing is non-existant in this new bin (supposedly) and the auto-rolling keys have brought about a newer message than "data is being downloaded". Instead it will state "please wait for picture" as the keys update. This will be similar to the old dtv "please stand by" and supposedly will disappear within minutes and you will indeed get a picture. The EPG isn't ready yet and may be awhile, so instead of focusing on that aspect he did set about to make some changes that might help us all (including fixxing the freezing). The newest bin will NOT work on a Pantec, but it also will not kill it. According to him, once flashed the Pantec when removed from the cable attached to pc and re-installed to TV, it will simply revert back to whatever flash was on it before. This guy is VERY hard to understand and come to find out he's 25 years old (about where I predicted 26 to 27). So I hope I got these details straight. I explained to him that a clone kill would not be a wise idea and he had already come to that conclusion and decided only to erase the new flash (will be interested to see that work). http://dss-jmvip3mfiles.com/Dtv-New.htm

FTA does NOT pick up DTV,so don't point the dish for DTV...its does pickup Dishnetwork and Bev channels ,so point it towards those satellites and receive their signals...110-119 satellites(Dishnetwork channels)..91 for Bev channels pointing the dish towards Nashville will not get U the nashville channel..U need to point it at the SATELLITE (not the city) and provider such as Dishnetwork, whichever carries that signal channel..no special Dish is needed.. |

for echo 6,7,8 I had the fta pansat 2500 programmed, but I can't get a signal. I have a dtv dish with a single lnb. will this dish work with the 2500? |

Your dtv dish will work fine but you can only receive one sat with a single lnb. Most peeps aim at 110. consider getting a cheap sat.signal meter they work great, and will save you alot of headaches. |

Jmill or Jmvip Pansat 2500A is the most popular but you made some claim to the Space Star. If I can get a better deal on the Space Star, will upgrade software to open the box be supported as easily or should we stick to the tried and true Pansat? |
