I have to assume that it would hurt the bulb life to suddenly lose power and not have a chance to cool down...so would it be wise to get a UPS?

I already have a Tripp Lite HT1010SAT3 surge protector so I don't need a great surge protector AND UPS...I am looking at the UPS and they seem to be based on "VA?" 500, 750, 1050, etc...how do I know the amount of juice I need so I don't overspend? (I am technically illiterate!)

Thanks ahead for your help...

Chris

Get a UPS with built-in surge and automatic voltage regulation. To figure the required VA rating look in yout tv manual and get the wattage usage. (in the back of the manual) Take the wattage and multiply it by 2. This will give you a good approx of the VA rating that is needed.
