My Mitsubishi VS-4517S sometimes blacks out, though sound is fine. After left off for an hour (or even less), it is perfect again and may work perfectly for a day, week, or month. I receive cable. Other sets in house still work when the Mitsubishi picture goes off. Any suggestions as to cause and treatment will be very welcome. |

I have a friend at work that has a Mitsubishi Rear Projection TV that is having the EXACT same problem. Dont know if its the same model, but its a 96, I believe. He has done some research & found that a leaky Electrolytic Capacitor on the PIP board inside the set could be causing this common problem in Mitsu Projection TV's. I would suggest digging around on Mitsu's website to find some troubleshooting help with this. Hope this helps. |
