Have Direct TV with RCA 210 receiver. Am trying to get the receiver to control a VCR via a IR emitter. Sony, JVC, Mitsubishi VCRs do not work, Synphonic (junk) does work. Any one have a VCR connected to this receiver with sucess? What make and model? |

I have a Sony DVD recorder hooked up to the RCA DTC210 and obtain excellent recordings. However,
I do not use the "IR emitter" but seperately program the recorder. You may need to contact RCA. |

I also have an RCA-210 Satellite receiver and the VCR control isn't working on mine either. I've tried a JVC and a Sony VCR. I also plugged in an IR emitter cable from a Sony receiver (the plugs are compatible) and that doesn't work either.
RCA obviously has a problem. I bought mine on eBay ("new in the box") but I doubt if they'll honor the warranty. |
