Hie. I am fed up with paying for cable TV .I am buying a fortec ultra lifetime decoder from. Will I be able to do the setup straight from the box on my on or do I need and engineer. What is required. |

The ability to read and comprehend are NECESSARY!...and a MUCH better website than this one for info..use the sites listed in the "recommended sites" thread here..
BTW..With that or any FTA (fortec,pansat etc)come Sept U will lose almost all TV channels..FTA buying is a waste of money now..it'll take U a month to figure out how to use it,then within 2 months,no more TV..also FTA is NOT a "decoder", it is a legal receiver..the "decoder" is U modifying it with different bins and flashs.. |

All FTA autorolls,except the coo*lsat released last night, are down...Dish has done a minor ECM..atmega is also working..don't worry,nothing is broken or damaged...BUT new autoroll bins will be needed..
Just enter your keys manually
If you cant get into your menu because your FTA box is frozen downloading the new key, just turn your receiver off, then on, then immediately go into your MENU screen.
Thats it!!
BTW...there are new WORKING Pansat autorolls released Saturday morning at www.hashhu.com and www.al7bar.t k |

Hi, Dears I have a problem with my Receiver, some days ago any channel working ay more so i see on this page the new key for thr fotec start i follow the instruction and then when i shut of and then i shut on the receiver they give me a screen with this INFO DATA IS DOWNLOADED but never finish that update some times frozen on 24% and another is 118% but is totaly frozen, any body can help me please!!!! |

i could be reading the wrong forum, but i have a fortect star ( i have not DL the installed the latest autoroll post by LK) when ever i put the recent key provided from the forum it always say "data is being downloaded...[33%]" and just freez. somtimes it will go 118% then freez. any suggestion? afterthis i will update it with the newest autoroll. thanks |

well here is what i do.
From Menu
Left Twice...Then Down To "Code"
Tipe the code in..
Then on the screen that comes up i go down to "Nagravision"
then on the screen that comes up i press Left until Dish Network comes up.
I then go down and change the keys 00 and 01
then i click OK to save
and exit...
what am i doing thats wrong? |

what exacaly do u mean by that?
how do i "only use the one thats active"
i thought i just type both the 00 and 01 in and then just click OK and go back.

says scrambled or bad channel because in nagravision on the top it says keycode function on/off make sure that is on! if that is not it than switch the power off on the back of your system or unpugg for a few mins that should work right..... JDOGG |

Hi Gizmo,
I'm a newbie here. Perhaps you can help me. I have a Stealth ST-2000a that freezes a lot after manually entering the keys. In reading some of the forums, you have suggested to install the autoroll and rechecking the keys. I'm not sure I can do that on this particular receiver. Do you anything about this receiver? Anything that you can suggest would be appreciated. Thanks. |

These are current and working keys...do a reboot/reset (BACK of receiver,power OFF,wait 2 minutes,power ON,go to channel 300) AFTER changing the keys..
BTW..a reboot/reset should always be tried whenever U have any problems.. |

U can download the latest autoroll and keymaster (auto key finder) for FREE ,right directly from dsscommunity. com top of their page in File Share FTA area..why pay for this?..they both install in 2 seconds,so don't need instructions... |
