Which projectors, if any, will be compatible with Toshiba HD-DVD player? PT-AE700U? InFocus 5000?
If there are projectors currently on the market, what do I look for in the specs that would indicate it will be compatible? Price Range under 5000.

Any HD projector would be compatible with the new HD-DVD standard.

The mere fact that a projector is HD would make it compatible

The AE700U should work great, and same with the Infocus 5000 - they are both 720p HD units

Both are also way below 5000 dollars, with the AE700u about 2200 dollars and the Infocus 5000 several hundred dollars lower than that

Now there is some question whether the new HD standard would also be able to play 1080p sourced material, and if that is the case and you want a 1080p front projector, you will in general be looking at front projection models in the range of $15,000 to 40,000. I personally don't think they are worth it at this time
