And to use actual values let's say Freq = 11739H and Tp. = 2.

freq =obviously is frequency H (horizon) V (vertical)

old but U get the point...Each provider (Dish,Dave,Bev) have their own satellites and therefore their own transponders..

TP = transponder

Transponder = one of 32 broadcasting emitters found on the D*V satellites. The satellites are in geo-synchronous orbit above the equator, South of Texas. Each transponder sends down a predetermined number of channels to your IRD.
