I cannot adjust the horizontal red cross hair. It is seems to be maxed out. When regular tv is on, red slanted ghosts appear on everything in view. Any expertise out there?

In my opinion one of the convergence IC circuits has gone bad. Sometimes 1 or 2 power resistors can overheat and fail in addition. Replacing the parts are pretty easy if you are experienced in printed circuit board work. Otherwise, I suggest for you to find someone who is. Have a good day
