Tried a search without much luck, but sorry if this question has been posted before.
I just got a Hitachi 50v500 and having some problems.
It is hooked up to a Yamaha 1400 receiver and I have a Sony DVP NC65OV SACD DVD player.
This is a non progressive player.
I am also using Time Warner Cable, non HD
and am using the component hook ups.
I understand Cable TV is not as clear as what we seen in store, but DVD's we played are not clear either, almost like they're slightly out of focus.
People/things as they go back from being close to the camera/close to the screen, seem to get fuzzier, almost like they go out of focus, maybe frontclose things are to, just don't notice as much.
I have tried a few of the settings that I've seen on the forum and went though the manual three times.
Gotta be missing something I figure, but what?
I need help, wife wants to send this set back, but its gotta be sonething I don't have set right.

Little add to on my posted question.
Just put Matrix Reloaded into the DVD player and its a great picture, are DVD's thatmuch different in quailty?
Or do I need different settings for different DVD's?
Also thinking the out of focus thing is suppose to be there, just not used to Big Screen.
Wife says maybe we'll keep it now.
