I have a 3-receiver setup with DSS using RCA equipment. Worked fine for 3 years or so. Finally got local channels last year and had to upgrade the dish to a 3 LNB model. The installer bypassed my multiswitch so I only had the option of running 2 TV's. I deactivated one unit because we did not use it.
I have reactivated the third receiver and now have the following problem:
Going through the multiswitch I get the full guide that shows the local channels but tells me to press info for ordering information and wants to charge them as a PPV. Bypassing the multiswitch everything works fine. So it looks like a multiswitch problem right? Well I have replaced the multiswitch with a brand new unit and no change at all!!
Have spent 2 days on the phone with DSS technical and their last suggestion was to call their service man out for a flat $70 fee to fix the problem.
Anybody seen this or have any idea’s?
