coaxial cable connection broke off back of TV. How do I connect to get cable TV? My TV has inputs on the front of the TV and I have a VCR (and DVD). Is there any workaround? short of ditching the TV... I am a bit technologically challenged, so if you could explain in laymans terms I would really appreciate it!

That sounds like a very simple repair. If I was you, I'd call around to different TV repair shops in your area, explain the situation, and get some prices. They shouldn't charge you much to fix this. They might even be able to do it at your home...
