This weekend I just purchased a beautiful 46" Hitachi Widescreen HDTV rear projection TV. I currently have it hooked up through a DVD Player using nice component cables. Since I have the option for a DVI connection, would it be worth the $250CAN to purchase the Samsung dvd player with DVI Output? IS the cost justified.

I know i've heard it is with DLP and LCD and Plasma but would a nice High Definition rear projection tv supporting 1080i resolution be worth the upgrade to DVI?

Analog/standard definition won't be as good through DVI. It's probably not worth it. I use component cables exclusively.
