I have narrowed my search down to these televisions: hitachi 46f510, 51f510, and the 51s715 also, the mitsubishi 48613 and the mits 48513. The hitachis are priced as follows 46f510-1499, the 51f510 1499, and the 51s715 1999. The mits are 48613 2099, and the 48513 1799. Which is the best deal/best picture? All opinions are welcome.

Ok, I can narrow it down to the hitachi 46f510 for 1499, the hitachi 51s715 for 1999 and the mitsubishi 48613 for 2099. Which do you think is the best deal/ picture?

What really matters is what you observe to be the best picture. Personally, I think you should abandon old CRT technology for state of the art DLP. The prices have come way down on the 50 inch models. They are lighter (only 70 lbs.), less bulky (only 17 inches deep), and video resolutions for SD, HD, and DVD have reached 720P and 1080I lines. The picture on my Samsung HLP5063W is absolutely amazing. Check pricegrabber.com or streetprices.com for the latest prices.
