Ok what I have is a Sylvania 19 inch with a VCR built in to it. I know that once a long time ago I could transfere using this TV/VCR and using another VCR but I have tried all sorts of combo and can't get it to work please help desperate

If it has RCA inputs use those and set on line or auxiliary. If not use the coax and set the tuner on 3 or 4, whichever works.
