I've asked before and got no response but here we go again. I would like to get local channels WITHOUT using my superdish at a campground not far from my home. (10 miles). I have enough sky to see the 105 Sat but I'm pretty sure you need a special LNB and possibly a larger dish. Has anyone here played with locals on Dish without using a superdish? I subscribe to Dish so my receiver will receive them IF I can get the 105 Sat. Your thoughts?? Thanks. |

U need the Superdish to receive the 105 satellite!....yes U can get locals with other dishs, but NOT from the 105 satellite...no,a special LNB will not change the need for a Superdish.. |

The 105/121 are FSS SATS using a differant frequency 11.7-12.2 and the SATS are lower power which requires the larger dish and why you still see lower signal strength. No you can't change LNBs the only solution is a larger dish. |
