Hi...At my girlfriend's house, in her room, she has:

A dvd player
A VCR
A TV that only accepts RF

Judging by just the things that say "IN" and "Out", no more equipment would be needed. This is what I tried:

DVD (via composite) goes to "In" on VCR
Antenna cable goes to "Ant In" on VCR
VCR RF-out goes to TV

Now, it seems like that should work, but it doesn't. The VCR and antenna work fine, but when the DVD player is run, it doesn't go through the VCR to the TV.

Is this a normal problem? What can I do?

Set the VCR input to line. You will probably need an RF modulator. In most cases a DVD player can't be connected through a VCR because of copyguard problems.
