Im thinking about buying a floor model HLN617W at circut city for 2589 plus 500 for a 5 year extended warranty for an extra 500 which would include 2 bulb replacements. Not knowing much about DLP TV's and Samsung,the build date on the back of the set was 1/2004. Can anyone tell me there experiences and if this is a good set or should I be looking at another brand?

Not a bad deal, but whatever you do make sure do purchase the warranty. That will be the best move you make no matter what you buy at that price. Especially, since they are going to throw int he bulb changes. It should include that already, but some places don't.

It is definitely one of the better sets out there, though.
