How would I connect a magnavox 640/17 DVD RW to a TV system that has a digital cable box. If I connect the DVD RW between the cable box and TV I can get the DVD on screen menu and it plays DVDs fine, but will not record. If I connect the DVD between the cable input and cable box I can't get the DVD on screen menu, it will record but only on channel 2?

My Magnavox DVD Recorder has quit recognizing
blank DVD+R discs. I just spits them out.
It never did this before, even recorded and
finalized them. What can I do to get it to
recognize the discs?
