When I try to hook my Sony DVD player DVP-NS725P to my new 36" TV KV-36FS100 using the composite video connection, all I get is a rolling picture. Any ideas? Thanks, Pete |

You have the dvd set to progressive scan, there should be a progressive button on the front, press it to turn it off |

Sorry for the basic questions, but does that mean I cannot use progressive scan with this Sony TV? Thanks again Pete |

Yes, you need to purchace an HDTV(or EDTV) in order to use progressive scan. |

...and you have to use the progressive outputs, the red, green, blue component connections. Composite and S-video won't do it. |
