Anyone with positive or negative comments about this TV set ?
The 955 has the Fine Pitch CRT. Is the picture quality much better than the HS420 ? Is it worth the extra $400 ?

My opinion is that it is not worth that much extra. I have watched them side by side and also the XBR and I would choose the HS420. |

WOW! I just purchased a 955 and can't believe the picture quality and sound in HD. It's truly amazing to experience for the first time, the unbelievable "crispness" and vivid colors. It's like looking at a picture without your glasses (Normal TV) and then putting them on to see every single detail (HDTV). I'm a huge fan of SONY anyway but man, have they hit the bullseye on this beauty. Excellent TV guys!!! |

Can't beat Sony CRTs for picture reproduction. Anything else is a compromise.
