So I just bought this new digital camcorder, thinking it would be a piece of cake to hook it up to my VCR, press a couple buttons, copy the video onto the camcorder, and the hook the camcorder up to the computer...turns out I have no idea what I'm doing. Any advice? Not sure if it makes a different, but I also have a Sony Vaio (w/ Gigapocket). What's the easiest way I could go about doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was just trying to do exactly the same thing!
After stuffing around for 1 hour, I caved in and read the instruction manual.
Surprisingly, it actually helped! LOL
