I have a three year old panasonic 27" flat screen tv. Today I turned it on and the picture is good but the color is a rainbow or spectrum in the shape of a target over the entire screen. I am a DISH subscriber and have a sony PS2 plugged into it. Please...someone tell me that there is an easy answer and that I donot need a new tv. thanks

Hi,

I wonder if you received a reply to your question regarding your Panasonic 27" flat screen TV. We turned our TV on tonight and had the exact same problem.

Thanks.

Turn it off by the wall plug and after 30min (or leave it overnight) turn it on.
Power failures are to blaim (usualy) and if tv goes dead after that than it needs replacing PTC (Degaussing-demagnetizing circuit had failed)
For that Alltogether spareparts = 2USD

If the cure helps, you will still have bad picture (but satisfactory) and the culprit is in the little badge in front of the tv that reads: Panasonic (The quest for zero Efect) :-)
