www.dvdcodes.net have the largest database of codes on the net. And they are mostly free. The site isnt finished yet but if yours isnt listed then just email them and they will give you the code. They also unlock sony's, panasonic ,toshiba, technics and many others that knowhere else can with chipped remotes. I just had one and i pointed it at my player pressed the button and that was it, i am now region free INCREDIBLE, no internal mod needed and no voiding of warranty. Absolutely brilliant TELL EVERYONE !! |

I have a new Bush BTV663DVD but have so far been unable to find a code for it.
Have loads of region 1 dvd's and bought this as a replacement for tv/dvd/video in my bedroom.

unlocking allows the playing of a non-local-region disc in your player. This is desirable for folks in Europe, etc. who want to watch the (generally) earlier releases from the USA. Folks already in region 1 may who like to watch imports would also benefit from this. |

Does anyone know how ro reprogram a NAD T571 5dvd/cd player? The random play is not really random. It will first select a cd at random. Then it will select a song on that cd at random. Next, it will play that song and the one after it before selecting another cd at random. Then it will play two songs consecutively from that cd. This infuriates me to no end. I never had this problem with my Sony 5 cd player. Is there a cure for this problem? |

this looks mostly like a "help me help me string" LOL
unlocking (also called hacking) is a way to reset your DVD players settings. you can hack a way to play any region DVD (where you're not supposed to be able to) or also defeat macrovision so that you can run your DVD player through your VCR without an RF modulator. one site also mentioned that macrovision interferes with images on some video projector units.
unlocking your DVD player lets you use it for more things than you're supposed to. |

FOR SAMSUNG DVD-E137B/E217/E317/1011 THIS SEEMS TO BE THE GO.
1. TV on, DVD tray closed, no disc inside. POWER ON DVD WITH THE REMOTE - wait 'til "DVD Video Samsung" on TV and "No Disc" on THE DVD display.
2. Press REPEAT on remote (not REPEAT A-B). NOTHING WILL APPEAR but then:
3. Using the remote, key in one of the following for you region:
Region 1 = 2 9 3 3 4
Region 2 = 3 8 7 6 7
Region 3 = 5 6 7 3 2
Region 4 = 7 6 8 8 4
Region 5 = 5 3 8 1 4
Region 6 = 2 4 4 6 2
4. On the TV a number should appear (the player's current region number).
5. Press the number of the region you require, or for region-free press 9.
6. Open the player's tray using the front panel.
7. Press Standby on the remote control.
FOR MODELS SUCH AS DVD-V530/V540/V70
Use the same but at step 2 above press SUBTITLE on the remote. |

Here are the codes for Toshiba SD1200, Toshiba SD2109, Toshiba SD1600, Toshiba SD1700, Toshiba SD210E, Toshiba SD2150, Toshiba SD220E, Toshiba SD2800, Toshiba SD3750
Put DVD into player - wait for regional code violation screen to appear. Once this happens press the M (Memory) button on your remote control. Then press 1 for Title 1 and press play on the remote. This will over-ride the regional code violation detection menu and you can watch the movie etc by entering the fwd on the remote control and change chapters etc by using the T (Title/Chapter) button on the remote control) |

Unlock Samsung DVD S224
Turn DVD player on with no disc inserted. Press "REPEAT" once on your remote control.
If your player is:
Region 1 coded type: 2 9 3 3 4
Region 2 coded type: 3 8 7 6 7
Region 3 coded type: 5 6 7 3 2
Region 4 coded type: 7 6 8 8 4
Region 5 coded type: 5 3 8 1 4
Region 6 coded type: 2 4 4 6 2
Then press 9 on your remote control, wait 10 seconds. turn off the power,
