Hi all,

I have a Sony STR-DE895 receiver and a Sony SLV-N700 VCR. I can't record TV programs no matter what I try. The following is the instructions for doing so according to the receiver documentation:

1. Select the program source to be recorded...TV (duh)

2. Prepare the component for playing...TV on (duh)

3. Insert a blank tape into the VCR (big duh)

4. Start recording (no comment)

As you can see, the documentation is worth about as much as the paper it's printed on. Is it possible something isn't hooked up right? Everything works great otherwise. Any advice?
