Costco.com has the Optoma RD50 for $1999. I can't find a matching price anywhere so I might have to buy this. My issue is that I've been looking all over the city (Kansas City) and can't find any retailer that sells Optoma's. Anyone know why this is? Is this a good tv? The deal just sounds too good to be true!!

The Optoma RD50 was reviewed in the October 2004 issue of Digital World (PC Mag editors). They list it at $3200 and gave it 4 out of 5 stars. I saw one at Fry's here is Seattle ($2099) and it was a nice set. It uses the older HD2 chip, but for the price I thought was well worth the money. When this TV first came out it was $4400, so the price has really dropped on them. I haven't read much about them, but with Costco's incredible return policy it is definitely worth picking one up.
