considering purchase of panasonic pt-53tw54...does any one have one? what are your pros and cons? they seem difficult to find. your comments appreciated.

PCPro.. I've had a Panny 53 for going on 3 years. As long as it is adjusted correctly, it is great. I get asked if the DVD's are HD and have to explain it is just DVD 480P. 1080i is fantastic (samsung OTA HD turner)
One thing. If you watch any news channels (My wife is a Fox junky) after a year or so you will see a slight smear in the lower left corner (spinning logo) but only on the blue screen (tape connection nothing playing etc. Burn in is a concern with rear projection, so keep an eye on the brightness and contrast settings. Aside from that it has been bullet proof. For the price, it can't be beat.
