Has anyone seen or experimented with the vertical viewing angles of the mitsu 725, sammy, or JVC? My home has a TV shelf built into the wall at 5 feet from the ground,(celing does not restrict TV size) the viewing distance would be roughly 14-16 feet. My initial thought was to go for the 52725, unless there may be a reason to choose differently because of the high vertical location. Any thoughts?

Just get high barstools to sit on. :-)

Seriously, 5 feet to the bottom of the set is pretty high. I think you would definitely need to be 14-16 feet away to view. My Sammy DLP seems to have a wider viewing angle side-to-side than vertically. However, it's better than my son's CRT Rear Projection in both cases. I'm not sure there would be much difference between brands.

I guess contractors aren't TV savvy. My thought is the same.....let alone a kinked neck. Perhaps finding a stable way to angle the screen downward??
