i want to buy an RCA DTC 100 to connect to my older dlp projector via 15pin RGB (VGA). i just read this on RCA's website: HD MONITOR OUT Use to connect an RGB-compatible high definition monitor. This provides high definition picture quality when high definition broadcasts are viewed. Due to copyright restrictions, you may not be available to view some high definition programs in high definition format using this product. THE LAST SENTENCE SCARES ME...are all HDTV programs viewable with this receiver? it sounds like maybe some programs are broadcast so that only HDCP-enabled receivers will play them or something?? if this is not what that sentence means, can anybody shed some light?? thanks!! |

thanks ron, so if d*tv turns on the HDCP flag, that shouldn't affect this receiver since it doesn't use DVI, right? |
