I went over to Circuit City today to look at some misc items today at lunch. I have been waiting on Sony to release their new line of LCD's and was planning on getting the new KDF-55WF655 55" LCD. That's until I looked at the Hitachi 50VS810 today. The picture was much better than any other LCD there. They had the Sony 50 and 60" LCD's, Samsung DLP's and Toshiba LCD's. All of which were a few steps below the Hitachi. What do you guys know about these new Hitachi's? The sales person told me that Hitachi manufactures the Sony LCD's so they are the same TV. The picture quality and color depth of the Hitachi was far better. I might go for a smaller set and get the better picture if these Hitachi's are the hot market item.

Thoughts?

Matt

How can you compare when the KDF 55 isn't out yet? Additionally, I think the Hitachi has more reflections then my tube CRT. Way too reflective and too many glares for $4k, and too expensive. Not too mention the KDF-55 is going for $2900 at almost $1000 less!!
